James is a great person to work with, he is professional, detail oriented, hard working, and creative. We used him for a kitchen/living room remodel and his pricing was very attractive, but the actual construction process was where he really shined. 
If a problem came up during the construction, he would text us pictures of the situation so that we could understand the problem, and provide the proper direction. He was creative in finding solutions that worked well for us and saved money. On top of all this, his quality of work is excellent. I would highly recommend him for any home improvement project.

I have had the pleasure of working with James of Ideal Carpentry on several large remodel projects throughout the past 3 years. These projects have ranged from full kitchen and bath remodels to family rooms and custom mantel projects. James' attention to detail is top notch and he is extremely efficient when it come to time management and getting the job done on time. My husband discovered black mold and water damage in a shared wall with the bathroom a couple months before we were going to have a baby. We ended up having to tear down the wall and gut the bathroom. James came in after the demo and repaired the structural integrity of the wall, completely redid the bathroom (including tiled the shower and floor), expanded the bathroom, did drywall, installed new baseboards, built and framed a new closet, and replaced two windows. He was very timely and worked with us on the things we wanted to do ourselves. Our house is old and he ran into some funky things, but refused to take shortcuts. He even bought us a baby gift after his last bit of work! We would definitely hire him again and refer him.
